ONE STEP TO GREATNESS: Outdoor Orientation for New Students of MM FEB UI
MM FEB UI orchestrated an engaging outdoor orientation program to familiarize incoming students with our learning culture and environment. In a fruitful collaboration with the kuic94 team, we crafted enjoyable games designed not only for amusement but also for instilling our values. The event commenced with a gathering in the Pertamina Hall, where Prof. Rofikoh Rokhim delivered an exciting opening address. Following this, the dynamic kuic94 team expertly organized group formation activities, setting the stage for a memorable first impression.
The kuic94 team skillfully infused our values into their meticulously crafted games, ensuring an enjoyable learning experience for our students. Beyond exploring our faculty, participants embarked on a journey through the scenic surroundings of our university, the Depok campus. They embarked on a guided walk from the faculty to the enchanting UI Woods, pausing at predetermined checkpoints to partake in activities that fostered teamwork and facilitated mutual introductions.
Throughout these engaging games, teams accumulated points, with the group amassing the highest score and earning the title of best team. However, it was not merely about scores; additional categories rewarded likes and shares on Instagram with hashtags #onesteptogreatness and #mmfebui, adding an extra layer of excitement and camaraderie to the event.
To conclude this enriching day, we hosted an enlightening session titled “Who I am makes a difference,” during which participants had the opportunity to share their thoughts and impressions about their experiences during the orientation. This open forum was led by Mr. Wirzal. It allowed them to reflect on the day’s activities and articulate their feelings, contributing to a sense of community and connection among our new students.
