GNAM Week Universitas Indonesia 1st Day, 1st session

We started registration of all participants at 08.30 and continued breakfast. The event started at 9.00 by Ms. Rininta gave a welcoming speech to participants and agenda briefly.

Mr. Arviansyah as a MM FEB UI representative gave the formal opening speech at 09.06 and informed briefly about:

  1. Description of this event generally
  2. Assignment before GN Weeks event ends
  3. Grading criteria assignment evaluation
  4. Appreciation for the best group participant

Ice-breaking session at 09.10 led by LO, Ms. Churin. The 3 best participants got a prize.

Opening formal event on 9.30 led by MC Ms. Samantha and continued with Indonesia’s national anthem.

Mr. Arif Wibisino Lubis gave an opening remark GN Week Universitas Indonesia on 09.46 about why the theme of this event is “digital transformation for sustainability: crafting a digital strategy to create a sustainable business”.

1st session speaker started on 09.55 by Mr. Kartika Wirjoadmodjo, Vice Minister from Ministry of State-owned Enterprises (MSOE) about The Policy and Strategy in Fostering Digital Transformation of Business. Firstly, he tells us about the new era of MSOEs: SOE’s Role as Agent of Development and Value Creator. He spoke about global transformation from state-owned enterprises (SOE) is digital transformation as one of the prioritized engines to boost Indonesia’s economic growth.

The prioritized of SOE’s sectors as catalysator such as:

  1. Government
  2. Education
  3. Health
  4. Procurement & logistic
  5. Trade
  6. 4.0 Industry

MSOE focused on 3 initiatives to optimize Indonesia’s digital transformation:

  1. Building digital infrastructure to provide equal access across the nation
  2. Accelerating the digital ecosystem through digital initiatives & innovation
  3. Developing digital talent with a global mindset & capabilities

He gave several study cases for example such as:

  1. BRI digitize residents in the rural area across the nation
  2. Bank Mandiri’s journey is driven by a clear roadmap based on five fundamental principles to be the champion in digital financial services: organization & talent, modernized distribution channel, widened digital ecosystem, data analytics, and leveled-up digital readiness.
  3. SOE’s also support Indinesia digital innovation by investing in national digital start-ups such as: BUMN start-up day, Merah Putih Fund, Indigo, etc.

The commitment of the MSOE and SOE’s in preparing global competitive talent is upskilling the development of digital innovation & entrepreneurship, onboarding the SOE digital talent program, and the Youth Leadership program.

2nd session: panel session from ASDP & KAI moderated by Ms. Putu Geniki.

   A. ASDP

ASDP started the speech at 10.00 by Mrs. Ira Puspadewi, President Director of PT ASPT Indonesia Ferry with an overview scope & scale of the ferry transportation and port of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry and continued about the condition and impact of the ASPD old situation which is the reason they have to change. Their solution from those situations is design thinking and system dynamic process. ASDP tells us the digital journey or ASDP’s milestones from 2008 until today.

    B. KAI

KAI started the speech at 10.45 by Mr. Suparno, Managing Director of Human Capital and General Affairs PT KAI. He started explaining an overview of the history of KAI until now that focused on customer satisfaction. Firstly, they transformed their system and implementation because of many factors to this problem. Their milestones are the change from product-oriented to customer-oriented and now become customer experience through digital transformation. Digital transformation strategies that they have done such as tech-driven transformation, cross-functional collaboration, customer-centric approach, and data-driven decision-making. Supporting this transformation, KAI has to provide and prepare human resource, financial and project development. The importance of KAI’s transformation digital is enhanced efficiency, improved customer experience, and innovation and adaptability.

Disclosing the half-day session, MM FEB UI gave appreciation to the speakers and took the pictures of the speaker & participants.
